Sickness Gets A Hint Of Craziness

When you think of someone being sick in a movie, the first image that comes to your mind is of a totally filmy girl sitting on a huge pink bed, wrapped in a thick woolly blankie and surrounded by a wad of used AND unused tissues.
Sometimes, it's TOTALLY comforting to pretend as though you ARE sick in a movie. The fault appears when you realize that you don't exactly have a servant who'll pick up your snot-filled tissues and so, the duty comes down to you. :)

Merriam-Webster (Wikipedia was confusing!) describes 'Sickness' as 'a condition of being ill or a specific disease'. But i more or less describe sickness as being physically AND mentally STARVED and devoid of normal emotions.
Sickness can arrive either when you have recently been in contact with another sick person or you've had a serious heart break or when you've just watched something really depressing.
I've been through all of the above sicknesses, at times in extreme ways. However, being sick can have a few bright sides too!

1) Get to miss school/college/office/anything that requires hard work.
2)Mom shouts at you for being so careless about your health, but makes you something nice and warm too.
3)You have an awesome reason to stay in bed, tucked in with your favorite cuddle toy.
Of course, not all of us may have the same kinda lifestyle, but i guarantee you that if you're reading this, you're probably living a life of bliss. :)

This topic is starting to make me sick on top of the cold and headache that i'm already suffering from. But it's never too late to just perk up, have a tall glass of chilled ice tea and watch a raging episode of 'Masterchef Australia'. Might as well as just watch yummy food being made if you can't get your hands on it. ;)

So until next, goodnight, shubh-ratri and shabba khair. :)

Pappa Ji, Why This Kolaveri Di? =P

And while almost everywhere i see, people (friends, relatives and a few other ghonchoos) are off, seeing their favorite movies and shows, i'm here STUCK, my last cinema film being 'Bol Bachchan' (can you imagine?)

While 'Bol Bachchan' was funny to a certain limit (all shrey goes to Rohit Shetty!), it was otherwise a very senseless film, given how one of the main protagonists was Abhishek Bachchan. I have nothing against this man personally, other than the fact that he CANNOT act.

The only reason i went to see BB was that i had desperately wanted to see 'Cocktail'. But after hearing some not-so-good reviews from a relative, my Dad had firmly put both his feet down for the movie. :(

So, to drown my tears in an endless bit of trauma, i agreed to watch BB.

Needless to say, the three main highlights of the movie were:
1) Ajay Devgn's english
2) Abhishek Bachchan's dance
3) The part where the movie ends.

Also, when i learned that Cocktail had earned very meager 'Okay' reviews, i felt a little elated.

But there was another stomp on my heart when people started cooing about 'The Dark Knight Rises', a movie for which my Dad put his feet, hands AND head down. Kya Pappa ji? :((

Plus, i cannot watch movies like 'Kya Super Cool Hain Hum' because of the amazingly amazing trailers that it has. Amazingly funny too. ;P

As a result, i am now very much bereft of a good topic to start conversations with random people.

The only solace that remains is that i have planned a lamba, choda outing with my cousins to see 'Ek Tha Tiger' in Mumbai. And this time, i almost have the cat in the bag.
Almost. =P
Let's hope this plan works out, inshallah!

So till next time, buh-byee!
